Supporting Ukrainian Children and Mothers in Crisis
Nearly three years into the conflict, 12.7 million people need humanitarian aid and protection in Ukraine, with 14.6 million people, including nearly 3 million children, in desperate need of humanitarian assistance OAH Archive.
Millions of children are living in constant fear as they endure relentless hostilities, prolonged displacement and severe shortages of essential resources including safe water, electricity, and other necessities.
More than 4 million people remain internally displaced within Ukraine, while over 5.9 million have fled to neighboring countries as refugees, with women making up 58% of the internally displaced.
HOW WE'RE HELPING
The humanitarian crisis touches every aspect of children's lives.
Nearly 80% of those in need of aid also require mental health support, as children cope with trauma from displacement, separation from family members, and the daily reality of living under threat.
With more than half of Ukraine's power generation capacity destroyed and blackouts lasting 4 to 18 hours daily, this will be the harshest winter children have experienced since 2022.
PWIC Global Impact is partnering with local Ukrainian non-profits to fund their evacuation and food support programs.
